We come to you, New Yorkers.
Private training in-home or in your building’s fitness center, using the Steadyby methodology to keep you movin’ well.
Our methodology
We want to keep you moving well for years to come so our method intentionally blends resistance training, balance, mobility work and cardio for a holistic approach to preventative movement care.
Before your first session, every new client will undergo a comprehensive movement assessment so we can individualize the program to your unique needs and goals and create your Movement Profile that you can refer to and share.
Sessions last 50 minutes (we always start and end on time) and each session builds on the last and evolves with you as you get stronger and steadier.
Every Steadyby trainer works with a limited number of clients at a time to ensure every member receives exceptional attention; we are happy to collaborate with family members, primary care doctors and physical therapists as part of your broader health team.
Meet Abby Sawers, NASM CSPT, your Steadyby trainer.
Certified Senior Personal Trainer, Abby, has worked exclusively with older adults for most of her years as a certified personal trainer. She has been a part of many client transformations as a result of the movement care she offers, and wants to empower as many people as she can to continue to live on their own terms.
With a background also in group yoga and Pilates, she noticed that much of the mainstream fitness market caters to a younger crowd, whereas older people are only offered rehabilitative care. So, she started Steadyby to close the gap and create a fitness community built for 65+.
She currently lives in downtown Manhattan and is originally from New Jersey — she has also lived in New Orleans and Los Angeles.
